Child Book

Remember being a child, playing games and enjoying the times with friends playing outside?

Here is my submission for the #areyoubookenough_child challenge hosted on InstaGram by Sarah Mo (@AreYouBookEnough).

I created an accordion style book by cutting up a Ouija Game Board into 9 equal pieces and connected them with a wide black ribbon. The base of the book is a pull-toy I made using wooden spools, sticks, book page axles and balsa wood painted with gesso. 

Remember those little pull toys you played with as a child? The base structure doubles as a way to display the photos.

On the inside pages I mounted black and white photos.  These are scanned originals I took over 20 years ago of my daughters and the children of family and friends.  All original photos were taken by me with a manual SLR camera, 35mm black and white film developed by me and prints made in my garage!
