I enjoy looking for books with unique covers in addition to well-known titles and vintage books. This vintage book The Little World of Don Camillo (circa 1950), with a whimsical cover in good condition, has been repurposed into a cover for a blank journal.
A few of the original illustrations are included on the pocket divider pages. The original title page is included inside the front cover. It would make a unique personal journal for adults and a great Teacher gift. The book has an open binding hand-stitched in the Coptic binding method of bookbinding employed by civilizations from as early as the 2nd century AD. It consists of 10 sections of pages totaling approximately 80 pages (160 writing surfaces) of a mix of cream colored parchment text and soft blue colored card stock. It also includes two "Note-Nooks" for placing cards, notes or other mementos.
Due to the age of the covers and being repurposed, there may be slight blemishes. The gently used nature is part of the beauty of the book. As with all handmade items, handle with care.
